We’re still not over the 2017 season, it’s still a bit of a blur and we’re still pinching ourselves to wake up from the beautiful dream of Sam Hill taking the 1017 Enduro World Series on a Nukeproof!
But 2018 is here, points tally is back to zero and the CRC-Mavic Pro Race team are out with Sram in Windrock, Tennessee preparing to take on the world’s best in the Enduro World Series. Nukeproof are stoked to continue to support the CRC-Mavic Pro Race Team with Nigel Page again at the helm. This year joined by Euan and Jacy on the spanners and a awesome 3 rider line up of; reigning EWS champ Sam Hill; Under 23 charger; Elliott Heap making the switch from downhill full time. These two are joined by Nukeproof charger Kelan Grant stepping up to the factory team.
This year started as soon as last year finished, after a champagne soaked evening in Finale Ligure, we sat with Sam Hill to chat 2018 colour scheme desires. After batting a few ideas around (lots of weird stuff) a trip to the buffet and with a wry smile he unveils what he wanted….. a Blueberry. Yes, you read that right the World’s fastest enduro rider is riding a Mega 275c with a paint scheme inspired by the humble Blueberry. Ok, so we may have broken the brief slightly with adding in some sparkle, but we aim to please!
So here it is the new Nukeproof Mega 275c that will carry the reigning champ to defend his title. From the outset this year the team will be on our Nukeproof Mega 275c (Sam and Elliott are on the Medium and Kelan is on a Large).
Each rider has their own preference on set up.
All three will run the Rockshox Lyric up front but with Elliott Heap is choosing to try the New Super Deluxe Coil shock, Sam and Kelan are on the Super Deluxe air.
All frames are fully protected by Invisiframe frame protection kits and will features our top end Nukeproof Horizon components (Horizon saddle, stem, grips and carbon bars).
Sam chooses to run a combo of his signature Nukeproof Alloy bars and grips, plus the customised AVS handguards.
Sram Eagle 12 speed drivetrain, MRP cain devices keep the Mavic Deemax’s turning smooth. Custom Decals for the champ from Slik Graphics, Mudhuggers front and rear and new team sponsor Michelin providing the rubber.
Elliott Heap & Kelan Grant will be using Nukeproof Horizon CS pedals, off course Sam Hill will be on is Signature Nukeproof Horizon Ti flats.
Don’t worry sports fans… Team Manager Nigel Page will be out there doing battle with the masters too!
Roll on Round 1….
